HireSecure loss & damage waiver

Following a recently announced tightening of controls by the Financial Conduct Authority, which have impacted the Hire Guard insurance scheme, our provider has withdrawn their insurance facility with effect from 13th November 2022. Due to these circumstances, we will be moving to a new supplier from the 1^st of November, HireSecure.

Hire Secure is our new facility offering the same protection and cover you are used to. Under our terms and conditions of hire, you are fully liable for any loss or damage to the tools or plant you hire.

Our Waiver removes that responsibility under those terms, subject to the claim excess and exclusions that currently apply and are detailed in our new Hirer Waiver document which will also be sent to you if you’re an existing customer. 

You will receive a new Hirer Waiver document, which replaces all previous Hire Guard documentation.

You will notice a change on our contract and invoice from the 1st of November including VAT on the Waiver charge. (All waiver charges are subject to VAT)
